Overview:
The Associate Financial Analyst – Commercial Division reports directly to the Finance Director – Commercial Division and partners closely with members of the sales & marketing teams for all commercial division entities to provide detailed analysis, insights, and reporting. This position also frequently interacts and partners with other members of the FP&A team.
Responsibilities:
Prepares analysis with limited direction from manager and external customers Provides explanation and input regarding results Supports management reporting and accounting activities, including data validation and report creation Establish calculations and update templates for business planning activities Pro-actively identifies and communicates problems and solutions Researches issues and problems as assigned Actively employs problem solving techniques and evaluates possible solutions before seeking direction from manager Assists in evaluating new product/venture financial viability May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
SKILLS REQUIRED
Basic understanding of Profit and Loss Statements and Accrual Accounting Demonstrates exceptional multitasking skills, effectively managing multiple tasks, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Advanced Excel skills, including (but not limited to): Can manipulate large datasets using advanced functions like SUMPRODUCT, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP to find and process specific data points Is comfortable using PivotTables for data summarization and creating dynamic reports that can be easily refreshed Can transform raw data into actionable insights and streamline workflows Can build and quickly update financial models Attention to detail and accuracy Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning systems is a plus
