Financial Analyst Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Matthews, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering the opportunity to collaborate with diverse departments and contribute to critical financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and data analysis, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support to financial managers by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial results.
• Prepare and manage annual budget processes, consolidating project and property-level budgets into portfolio-wide plans.
• Develop and refine financial models to support decision-making, including investment memos and project analyses.
• Conduct underwriting for real estate investments, including debt structuring and other financial arrangements.
• Generate detailed performance reports and assist in preparing materials for leadership reviews and board meetings.
• Collaborate on transaction financing by preparing lender materials, analyzing bids, and coordinating closings.
• Formulate and analyze asset management plans, including capital expenditure evaluations and hold-sell analyses.
• Identify trends through variance analysis and historical data reviews, offering recommendations for improvements.
• Lead the creation of dashboards, tools, and reports to enhance financial data accessibility and decision-making.
• Perform market research and business intelligence tasks to support strategic initiatives. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospitality finance or a similar industry.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with cloud-based financial planning software, preferably Planful.
• Experience with accounting systems, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Knowledge of data mining, business intelligence, and market research tools.
• Ability to analyze reports from industry sources such as CoStar, Kalibri, and AirDNA.
