This position will primarily be responsible for reviewing and processing client disbursements. This is an on-site position in our Wilmington office and hours of work are Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Ensure timely processing of all disbursements Verify that appropriate documentation has been provided for client disbursements Reconcile A/R Assist with audits as needed Ensure tasks are done accurately and timely Maintain effective communication with colleagues and clients Ensure all client and internal systems are updated to include actions taken and all correspondence Process inbound checks Weekly audit of check and tender list Meet with clients to review disbursement details Scan and close out disbursed and rejected files Process disbursed checks and create trust ledgers Review and process third-party invoices and firm-incurred expenses for accuracy and case relevance Match receipts, invoices, and authorization forms to related matters and validate entries before approval Monitor aging disbursements Verify new and existing vendor payment terms, W-9s, and compliance requirements Assist with additional projects as needed and directed

Desired Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an entry-level accounting or finance role required Associates degree or higher preferred Prior experience working in a law firm is a plus Intermediate level knowledge of QuickBooks & MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle and work with confidential information Strong time management skills Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines
