Finance and Business Compliance Analyst I State of North Carolina Wake County, NC Description of Work

RECRUITMENT RANE

$41,655 – $65,000 The purpose of this position is to participate in and assist the Monitoring andCompliance Unit with a variety of fiscal and administrative monitoring responsibilities across multiple programs. The principle responsibility is participation in the Division’s monitoring efforts to assure compliance with federal, state and departmental requirements as well as the Department’s cash management, auditing and records retention requirements. This position will plan and coordinate with various contractors or facilities in data collection. This position will analyze collected data and evaluate for compliance with program requirements. The position coordinates, schedules and participates in monitoring of Division contractors, grantees, and other subrecipients asassigned.

This responsibility includes identifying what program components need to be monitored according to the applicable procedures and division compliance requirements for monitoring. This position works with the Division’s program coordinators and various contractors/grantees to collect and analyze fiscal and programmatic monitoring data appropriate to the specific programs and subrecipients. This position will draft monitoring reports and maintain monitoring documentation in accordance with unit processes. The position wil lperform investigative response to contractor on compliance issues and develop necessary corrective action and resolution. The position will assist in developing, implementing and annually updating the Division’s subrecipient monitoring plan to assure it meets state and federalr equirements; assist in developing appropriate monitoring tools used for specific programs. Contribute as a team indeveloping Contract Monitoring Strategies, monitoring tools, and assist in updating manuals. The position will assist inproducing of annual risk assessments of the Division’s subrecipients and participating in Open Window requirements.
