Finance Support Analyst Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

This role supports the Prime Services Trading desk.

Productstraded include:

domestic and international equities and fixedincome products, foreign exchange, listed derivatives, exchangetraded funds, OTC and exchange traded options, convertibles andswaps. The Product Controller will work closely with trade support,technology, financial control and other infrastructure areas toensure timely and accurate reporting of the trading desks¿ resultsincluding daily P&L reporting, management commentaries, andexception processing Other responsibilities may include: ¿ P&L Validation and Analysis (including clean P&L),Journal Entry and Review ¿ Commentary (PnL, clean PnL, price testing, inventoryanalysis) ¿ Monthly and quarterly account ownership reconciliation, bookmanagement, legal entity and regulatory reporting and accountingpolicy implementation ¿ Providing analysis and information in response to ad hoc requestsfrom various areas throughout the firm (e.g., Front Office, Tax,and Regulatory) ¿ Assisting in Sarbanes Oxley testing and documentation ¿ Daily interaction and primary support for front office ad hocrequests ¿ Providing UAT support for various strategic system roll outs, aswell as support for new business initiatives Qualifications/Skills and Experience Product Controllers must have effective interpersonal skills andability to interact and communicate with senior management andfront office client base ¿ 1-2 years of financial service, banking or accountingexperience ¿ High level of numeracy and literacy, attention to detail and welldeveloped analytical skills ¿ Advanced Excel Skills required ¿ Business Objects and Essbase experience strongly preferred ¿ Ability to interpret financial data and pull out core themes andtrends ¿ Inquisitiveness and a willingness to challenge and askquestions ¿ Good communication skills, especially the use of written proseand graphical analysis ¿ Understanding of when to escalate for management attention ¿ Ability to work to tight deadlines on a daily basis ¿ Comfortable with the presentation and manipulation of data ¿ Comfortable with financial systems and reporting packages /General Ledger queries ¿ Ability to apply key controls to reporting and processes ¿ Ability to interact with and support clients for all aspects ofMI (budgeting, planning, monthly reporting, forecasting,allocations, etc.)
