Job Description SUMMARY The Financial Analyst provides decision support by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data as well as forecasting business trends to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Advance Auto Parts. This position must provide superior customer service by partnering with the business and translating credit and accounts receivable results into actionable insights. This position will support the Corporate Credit Functions and will assist in driving capital management by enhancing customer relationship through the innovative use of data, analytics, insights and strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Timely preparation/compilation of monthly DSO and Accounts Receivable trended results Design, develop, implement, test, and support new data reporting solutions Develops Power BI (or similar) Dashboards and Reports Leverages SQL, Power BI, and other technologies to Integrate and transform data from various disparate systems to provide wholistic reporting Generates ad hoc reports and dashboards as needed by leadership. Maintains and supports existing reporting solutions to ensure data quality is sustained. Manages multiple simultaneous tasks and projects and can prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Provide fact-based financial analysis and ad-hoc analysis in support of business cases Provide root cause driver analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating the results into business insights and actions. Analyze trends against key performance metrics and draw insights that lead to action. Collaborates with business and IT partners to gather requirements and implement technology solutions; often serving as a liaison between teams. Seek continuous improvement through value added projects and analysis as well as reengineering of current business processes Participate in special project work as required, such as systems implementation, etc.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Business is required 1-5 years of data reporting and business analysis experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Expert Microsoft Excel skills – experience building complex financial and analytical spreadsheets using advanced formulas, data tables, and macros. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others. Ability to establish relationships cross functionally and present information to senior leaders. Ability to respond to questions from groups of senior management, department leaders, managers, clients, customers.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
