Position Summary:
Our client in Raleigh is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial planning, reporting, and process optimization efforts. This role combines financial modeling, forecasting, automation, and system improvements to enhance overall efficiency and support key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and financial automation, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools to support business decisions. Collaborate with key stakeholders to refine budgeting and forecasting assumptions. Prepare financial analysis for senior leadership, explaining variances to forecast, plan, and prior periods. Identify and analyze key performance metrics to drive insights and strategic recommendations. Conduct ad hoc analyses on various aspects of business operations as requested. Implement process improvements to enhance financial planning, automation, and reporting accuracy. Work with accounting teams to improve cost tracking and forecasting methodologies. Maintain and continuously refine weekly cash forecasting processes. Develop presentations for executive leadership, including financial reports and board materials. Research and evaluate opportunities for automation using financial software, ERP systems, and AI-driven solutions. Oversee integration of automation tools to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Provide training and support to finance teams on automated reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, or process automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience with financial automation tools such as ERP systems, RPA platforms, SQL, and Python. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and financial reporting systems. Ability to work in high-pressure environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload efficiently. Experience in financial process improvement preferred.
