Exempt Work location will be on-site at either Joplin, MO plant; Wilson, NC plant or Monett, MO Corporate office.
SUMMARY:
This Financial Analyst will be responsible for weekly and monthly KPI reporting, product and customer reporting, and reconciliation and review of general ledger accounts. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of basic accounting practices. The position works with general supervision and the ideal candidate will need to possess the ability to prioritize and manage his/her workload.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports, customer and profitability reports. Review general ledger accounts and prepare and make adjusting journal entries. Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including intercompany general ledger accounts. Assist operations and accounting department in preparing budget and forecasts. Prepare documentation for external auditors. Assists in filing sales and use tax reports. Conduct monthly variance analysis. Assist in developing and documenting internal control procedures. Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Highly analytical with strong accounting acumen including the accounting cycle, account classifications, debits and credits. Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and work with co-workers collaboratively on projects and tasks. Thoroughly understands the importance of accuracy and complies with GAAP principles. Willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done especially when deadlines cause greater than normal pressure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA CPA certification Advanced education/experience with Microsoft Excel Software Experience with
SAGE 500
a plus Experience with ERP implementation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to hear on the phone and those in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information. Must have vision with or without lenses adequate to read memos, a computer screen, forms and documents. Requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, twisting/turning and other regular activities of working with computers, calculators, office equipment and files.
