Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled AML/Financial Analyst to join our compliance team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the financial system by identifying and addressing potential risks related to money laundering activities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial services industry while applying your expertise in data analysis and transaction monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess alerts related to potential money laundering activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify unusual patterns or transactions that may indicate illicit activity.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and refine processes for detecting suspicious activity.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings for compliance purposes.
- Utilize anti-money laundering tools and systems to monitor daily banking transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML regulations and best practices within the financial services sector.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and recommend appropriate actions.
- Support audits and regulatory inquiries by providing accurate and timely information.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance AML expertise.
- Contribute to the implementation of new compliance tools or systems as needed. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial transactions.
- Familiarity with banking transaction monitoring systems and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
- Knowledge of relevant AML regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
