Reporting into a Treasury Leadership role, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with daily Treasury management for the Fortitude group of companies. Fortitude is in an active growth phase and has added new domestic companies, holding companies, multiple trust account structures in support of new reinsurance transactions, and an international composite reinsurer. This applicant will join a dynamic team-oriented treasury group and work closely with the broader Finance and Investments team. This role will be based in our Jersey City, NJ office on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Treasury leadership team across treasury disciplines including cash management, liquidity management, bank relationships, and short-term investments. Support treasury operations, including payment processing and cash reconciliations. Support liquidity management operations to include daily reporting, evaluation and solutioning shortfalls. Perform bank account administration functions to support cash disbursements, intercompany transfers and relevant data capture. Assist with trust account management, including daily monitoring of trust requirements, cash and liquidity available, and direct transactions as needed to support the active management of FRL and FIRL trust structures. Help with management of collateral portfolio backing current in-force asset portfolio and assist in onboarding of new reinsurance structures. Evaluate market rate changes and potential impact on hedges and other collateralized positions. Support short term cash and investments portfolio reporting and cash flow forecasting; contribute to the continuous improvement and automation process of daily cashflow reporting and forecasting. Assist treasury team with risk and control assessments and implement improvements as identified. Ensure processes comply with requisite internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Experience in a Finance Treasury department is a plus. Specifically, experience in fixed income assets, derivatives, debt, cash flow forecasting and liquidity management preferred. Planning to obtain CTP, CPA or CFA; CTP viewed positively and would be supported by the team. Experience in reinsurance or insurance preferred, as well treasury management systems. Be a team player with ability to work collaboratively in-person and from remote locations. Team fit is a focus at Fortitude.
