Jun 16, 2025 Our client, an international logistics and transportation company, located in Monmouth County, NJ is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their expanding team. This role will play an integral part in the expansion of the company.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the CFO with all budgeting and forecasting activity. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to help drive the growth and success of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Analyze financial data and trends from various sources, including internal and external sources, to produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and projections.
Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s overall goals.
Monitor financial performance against set targets and identify areas for improvement, including cost reduction, revenue growth, and cash flow management.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Support the management team in making informed financial decisions by providing insights and recommendations based on in-depth financial analyses.
Liaise with stakeholders, such as investors, auditors, and regulators, to ensure proper communication and adherence to reporting requirements.
Analyze the potential financial impact of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alliances and make recommendations for the finance team.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes, such as capital budgeting, investment appraisal, and risk management.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial control systems to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business and its financial landscape.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the logistics industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex financial data.
Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools and technologies.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Experience in developing and implementing financial systems and processes.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
