JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting & Operations Analyst is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the practice, including overseeing accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, and supporting financial analytics. This role will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal policies, and contribute to strategic decision-making as the practice expands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL
OPERATIONS & REPORTING
Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure accurate and timely processing. Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Coordinate with external accountants or auditors as needed during tax filings or audits.
ANALYTICS & REPORTING
Utilize business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to generate and maintain key financial and operational reports. Assist in developing performance dashboards to inform business decisions and monitor the financial health of the practice. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
Support day-to-day operations by providing financial guidance to various departments. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with leadership on financial planning. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the patient financial information within the practice’s systems.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & COMPLIANCE
Cross-train in related functions to improve business processes and enhance operational flexibility. Stay up to date with accounting best practices, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards. Assist with implementing process improvements to streamline accounting systems and reduce inefficiencies.
COMPETENCIES
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel required). Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED is required 2 year college degree is preferred 2-3 years of experience working within a health care setting in which the primary responsibility was the completion of clerical, general office, patient accounting and reception oriented tasks. Employees are expected to work assigned shifts as needed to meet business demands, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays within standard operating hours.
