Brooklyn, NY Compensation:
$140,000 – $190,000 plus discretionary performance bonus Overview The Asset Manager will be responsible for the financial well-being of the multifamily portfolio, managing business plan execution, financial performance, tenant relations, and operational efficiency in the specified region. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate investment, asset management, and a strong understanding of the residential real estate market.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Oversight:
Manage day-to-day performance of a portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use assets, from acquisition through stabilization and/or disposition.
Financial Management:
Analyze and track asset performance against business plans, budgets, and pro formas. Work with property management and leasing teams to identify and execute strategies to enhance NOI and asset value.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and capital partners; present performance updates and strategic recommendations.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor local and national market trends to inform rent pricing, leasing strategy, and capital expenditures.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with property management, development, acquisitions, and finance teams to align operational execution with investment goals.
Disposition Support:
Contribute to asset sale processes, including broker selection, pricing strategies, due diligence, and transaction execution.
Qualifications:
Must have multifamily experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred) 8-10 years of relevant experience in real estate asset management (acquisitions experience a plus; LIHTC experience a plus) Strong understanding of multifamily and mixed-use property operations and valuation Proficiency in ARGUS, Excel, and financial modeling Ability to interpret financial statements, lease agreements, and partnership structures Excellent communication and presentation skills
