Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting departmental budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and excel at providing actionable insights to guide organizational and executive-level decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform comprehensive financial forecasting and modeling to predict outcomes and support strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial trends and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to create detailed reports and dashboards for executive review.
  • Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to enhance decision-making processes across departments.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and integrate them into overall budgeting strategies.
  • Prepare monthly and annual budgets, ensuring timely completion and submission.
  • Monitor budget performance and address discrepancies proactively to maintain financial stability.
  • Support the organization in achieving long-term financial objectives through data-driven insights.
  • Assist in the implementation of forecasting tools and methodologies to improve efficiency. Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting, preferably within a similar organizational setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial modeling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze trends and variances to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to present financial findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with financial analytics tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
