Job Description
About the role: The Group Captives Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with regular financial reporting deliverables as well as supporting the Group Captives business on strategic initiatives, forecasting and planning. The individual will also support workstreams to improve financial processes and procedures, as well as participate in special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Support the Casualty Finance team on all financial analysis and reporting, including month close production activities / KPI reporting, quarter financial reporting deliverables and forecasting / planning. + Proactively support the Group Captives business leadership team in executing their financial and underwriting strategies by partnering with the business and other functions to enhance analytics and tools, and provide solutions. + Support the annual and quarterly Strategic Planning process by helping to gather input from the business teams and compiling the projected results to be shared with the Business + Support in any AIG transformation projects or process improvement initiatives, including proactively finding ways to improve operational efficiency and standardization across reporting and processes. + Collaborate across business, finance and other functions to achieve strategic objectives + Participate in other special projects and/or coordination efforts. What we’re looking for: This individual must have finance and accounting experience and be a forward thinking and progressive contributor. They will have the capability to collaborate with the business teams as well as across various functional disciplines. The candidate will possess superb communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be proactive and demonstrate a willingness to challenge current processes and provide suggested efficiencies across the finance workstreams and deliverables. + 3+ years of accounting or finance experience + BA degree or equivalent. + Strong excel skills + Financial statement analysis experience + Experience in forecasting and modelling and knowledge of business performance metrics + Highly motivated and results-oriented + Strong analytical skills + Experience working with diverse cultures across US regions + Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders + Insurance or financial services experience preferred The base salary range is $90,000 – $105,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
