Job Description

Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC seeks Investment Performance Analyst & Analytics Specialist in New York, NY. Position may allow for an occasional home office benefit within a commutable distance to our NYC office.

Job description: Prepare routine and ad-hoc investment performance characteristics and risk analysis reports for internal and external distribution; Perform in-depth attribution analysis for portfolios toexplain portfolios’ active return; Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports by coordinating the information from various applications / teams to distribute accurate client reports within prescribed deadlines; Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, or financial market regulation; Research or develop analytical tools to address issues such as portfolio construction or optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss measurement, or pricing models; Provide accurate and timely responses to requests for product data including performance and risk data; Review and maintain composite records in accordance to Global Investment Performance Standard (GIPS), and work on the annual external verification; Support Business Development team to prepare marketing and RFP materials; Constantly evaluate systems, process and procedures for inefficiencies and make recommendations for automation and standardization; Support various projects, including automation / standardization efforts and the evolution of standard deliverables; Confirm accuracy of product data. This involves thorough and in-depth reviews of positioning and fund performance information to ensure that data is presented correctly and consistently; Troubleshoot data issues. Analyze and interpret them using a range of approaches and be involved in making decisions and recommendations based on the analysis; Assist in sending/uploading performance data to third party databases; Manage, compile and store all quantitative and qualitative firm and portfolio information used to complete RFPs and databases to allow for the quick retrieval of accurate data; Collaborate with portfolio managers and internal subject matter experts to craft and write necessary performance reports; Analyze data for sales and marketing reports for senior management; Work with investment team to develop strong industry and product knowledge; and Support ongoing and ad-hoc attribution and performance reporting supporting investment team. Position may allow for an occasional home office benefit within a commutable distance to our NYC office.

Minimum Qualifications:

The position requires a Master’s degree in Global Finance, Economics, or a related field plus two (2) years of performance and quantitative analysis position within asset management. The position requires any amount of experience in ALL of the following skills:

  • Experience with Bloomberg, SQL, and Python;
  • Experience with Morningstar, Informa PSN, Evestment consultant databases;
  • Experience with Tableau dashboards;
  • Experience with Portfolio analysis, including performance calculation methodologies (GIPS standards) attribution, risk analytics and quantitative models for Global Equity and Multi-asset portfolios that include ETFs and individual stocks;
  • Experience with analyzing large and complex sales and performance datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights related to client experience and sales performance; and
  • Experience with continuously optimizing data processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability, ensuring timely delivery of both investment and sales analytics.
