Constellation Investments manages over 30BB across various assets. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing portfolios that invest in high-yield debt securities, analyzing credit risk, and making buy/sell decisions to optimize returns for clients while managing risk. The Portfolio Manager will assist in the growth of our Direct Lending portfolio as well. The ideal candidate will have experience as a High Yield or Leveraged Loan Portfolio Manager. This role requires a strategic thinker who can adapt to changing market conditions and make informed investment decisions. Portfolio Manager:
Portfolio Management:

Oversee the management of a portfolio of high yield public corporate bonds and assist in the portfolio management of private credit portfolio. Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with fund objectives.

Market Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research and macroeconomic analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Utilize insights to adjust portfolio allocations accordingly.

Investment Selection:

Evaluate and select securities both in the primary and secondary market for inclusion in the portfolio. Analyze individual investments and their potential contributions to overall performance.

Risk Management:

Monitor and manage portfolio risk, ensuring adherence to risk tolerance levels and investment guidelines. Implement strategies to mitigate potential downside risks.

Performance Reporting:

Prepare and present detailed performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key drivers of performance and market insights.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other investment professionals to ensure a cohesive investment approach. Participate in team discussions to develop and refine investment strategies.

Requirements:

What sets you up for success Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field with a strong academic record 7+ years of experience in portfolio management with a proven track record of managing portfolio of high yield bonds and/or leveraged loans. Strong fundamental and technical understanding of the corporate credit market Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a deep understanding of portfolio management. A strong understanding of portfolio theory, asset allocation, risk analytics, and portfolio construction Proficiency in financial modeling Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Strong decision-making abilities and a proactive approach to investment management. Extensive experience conducting in-depth research and credit analysis across high-yield securities. Proven ability to develop well-reasoned investment theses and integrate security-level insights into broader portfolio strategy. Skilled in aligning fixed income positioning with macroeconomic trends, duration targets, yield curve views, and specific portfolios’ objectives to enhance risk-adjusted returns.
