Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing plant operations and financial analysis. The role requires expertise in production reporting, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making to support key business initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare weekly true-up and settlement reports, as well as conduct monthly component and lookback analysis.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, scorecards, labor hours, and other key metrics to monitor plant performance.
  • Generate and analyze reports including daily/weekly spend summaries and direct-to-cost-center spend tracking.
  • Oversee cycle count reporting for cold and dry warehouse inventories and culture inventories.
  • Manage month-end close processes.
  • Reclassify accounts and perform reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize business systems and data mining techniques to produce actionable insights for plant operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to audit financial processes and improve budget management strategies.
  • Support capital management initiatives and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial analysis within manufacturing plant environments.
  • Proficiency in production reporting, inventory management, and cycle count processes.
  • Strong skills in business systems, CRM platforms, and data mining techniques.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SAP, PowerBI and Blackline
  • Solid understanding of accounting functions, auditing practices, and budget processes.
  • Expertise in capital management and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
  • Ability to work with KPIs and scorecards to track and improve plant performance.
  • Excellent Excel skills and the ability to generate and interpret complex financial reports.
