Description Overview Our client in White Plains, NY, is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. This position entails analyzing financial data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive organizational success. Key Responsibilities + Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify risks and opportunities affecting business performance. + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as variance analyses compared to budget and forecast. + Develop and enhance financial models to improve efficiency in forecasting, scenario analysis, and investment returns. + Assist with strategic financial planning, including revenue projections, cost management strategies, and long-term business scenario evaluations. + Collaborate with department leaders to develop and monitor budgets and provide recommendations to optimize spending and resource allocation. + Conduct market research and benchmarking to support competitive analysis and financial strategy adjustments. + Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial data inputs and alignment with reporting requirements. + Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies. Requirements Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA or CPA designation preferred. + Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably in corporate finance or financial services. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems. Experience with software like Oracle, SAP, or Hyperion is a plus. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights. + Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey analyses and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. + Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance related to financial reporting. Preferred Skills + Familiarity with White Plains or local market dynamics is a plus. + Experience in creating dashboards or visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI. + Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
