See Yourself as a Senior Quantitative FP&A AnalystThis role is responsible for assisting the AVP of FP&A with the delivery of key financial reporting, planning, and analysis functions for Radian, including monthly/quarterly management reporting, variance analysis, financial forecasting, strategic planning, and ad hoc analysis activities. This individual is responsible for assisting with critical financial planning, modeling and analysis upon which the Company will rely in setting up our strategic and financial plan. They will assist with preparing analysis and reporting to share directly with executive leaders and must ensure extremely high quality and accuracy in their work. This individual is expected to partner with the AVP of FP&A to “co-own” Radian’s consolidated financial model that is leveraged across the enterprise to drive decision-making and may assist in capital planning activities across all of Radian’s businesses and at the corporate level. This individual will have strong technical and analytical knowledge that allows them to operate with a high level of autonomy to solve complex business modeling, and analyses. The individual will produce findings and present them clearly in diverse formats to various audiences across the organization.

Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain monthly management reporting, to include financial results, key metrics, performance indicators, and variance analyses.

Assist with financial planning activities, including forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analyses, financial stress testing, and reportingAssist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting of Radian’s results and updated forecasts, Board of Director Reporting, etc.

Assist with the process for forecasting key drivers and metrics, relying on standardized tools and processes and seeking to maximize both efficiency and accuracy.

Assist business leaders across the organization and work with FP&A leaders to understand key business drivers of revenue, as well as provide insights into drivers of revenue, risks, and opportunities.

Assist with the modeling and analysis of capital planning across the company, including share buybacks, dividends, stat capital dividends, PMIERs scenario analysis, ILN/XOL, tax and loss bonds, and other ad hoc analyses.

Assist with the modeling of capital deployment in conjunction with strategic initiatives and other high impact projects across the company that require a very intense work ethic to meet tight deadlines, including analysis used to facilitate discussion with both internal and external parties.

Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

4 or more years of prior work related experienceAdditional QualificationsStrong financial experience in areas such as forecasting (Income Statement/Balance Sheet), P&L analysis, reporting, financial modeling, portfolio analysis required.

Prior experience in the Mortgage Industry / Financial Services industry and FP&A Quantitative Finance or Risk Management functional experience is preferredExperience in financial concepts and metrics (Discounted Cash Flow Methods, Returns, Financial Analysis) preferredRequires strong hands-on analytical and organizational skillsStrong technical and data management/financial modeling skillsMS Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office proficiency requiredAdvanced in Excel keyboard shortcuts, macros, and formulas (INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP) preferredOracle Hyperion / PBCS, Tableau, SAS, and Alteryx preferredStrong understanding of and experience with forecasting tools, financial modeling, and accounting systemsMust have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization and with outside personnel. anticipatedbase salary from $77,000 to 125,000 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
