Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing the hospital’s fixed assets, ensuring that all assets are accurately recorded, tracked, and reported in compliance with financial regulations and hospital policies. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to maintain the integrity of the hospital’s asset management system. This position will also be responsible for bond compliance reporting and rating agency reporting/presentations as well as routine journal entry calculations/postings and general ledger reconciliations related to revenue and other areas.

Responsibilities:
Asset Tracking:

Maintain an accurate and comprehensive fixed asset register, including the acquisition, transfer, and disposal of assets (including general ledger entries).

Budgeting:

Assist with the capital budget process and maintain capital budgeting software.

Lease Management:

Analyze, document and manage all leases, including lease renewals, terminations, and modifications.

Inventory Management:

Conduct regular physical inventories of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies with the asset management system, working closely with BioMed.

Depreciation Calculations:

Calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.

Reporting:

Prepare and distribute periodic fixed asset reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission to management and regulatory authorities. Prepare bond compliance reporting, rating agency presentations, debt covenant calculations, and other compliance reports.

Compliance:

Ensure all fixed asset activities comply with internal controls, policies, and relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).

Collaboration:

Work closely with the finance, procurement, IT, and facilities departments to ensure seamless asset management processes.

Audits:

Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations related to fixed asset transactions and revenue accounts.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving processes and implement best practices.

Other:

Completion of miscellaneous journal entries, tasks, and reporting as provided by supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and financial analysis.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fixed asset management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.,
