Salary range:

$38,985.00 (minimum) – $55,559.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Duties Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist with developing and implementing the university budget. Provide analytical and technical support, gather information necessary for forecasting annual revenues and expenses, and assist with compiling budget documents and reports for the Board of Trustees meetings. Assist in monitoring budget to actual reports monthly and respond to budget inquiries. Assist departments with budget planning, analysis, projections, and management to ensure fiscal accountability and efficient processing of financial transactions throughout the fiscal year. Prepare and distribute monthly reports of budget forecasts, revenue, and expenditures for various departments and programs to leadership and supporting staff. Prepare routine funding and budget transfers. Analyze and research transactions in specific accounts to determine the propriety of particular transactions and variances to these accounts. Assist in fiscal year close-out of budgetary and self-generated accounts. Maintain a current record of the University’s Chart of Accounts and record requested changes. Grant access to existing general ledger roles, create new general ledger roles, and maintain security access to general ledger accounts. Perform pooling of the expense codes for the umbrella accounts. Monitor the umbrella accounts monthly and resolve potential errors. Assist with developing and maintaining the supplemental budgeting software platforms and models. Generate and compile reports from Synoptix, Informer, and Anaplan systems. Develop budgets for non-FTE personnel, such as temporary, time-limited, and temporary faculty. Review and approve non-FTE staff positions and hiring proposals. Ensure budget availability and accuracy for supplemental compensation.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, or finance.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business and related financial experience. Professional experience the in the Higher Education settings is preferred. Work experience with Ellucian, Informer, and Synoptix is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Window software programs, possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Must interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations. Excellent interpersonal communication, and organizational skills are required. Coastal Carolina University is an EO/AA employer.
