Job Summary:

The Sr. Asset Liability Analyst will work directly with members of Senior and Executive Management to provide financial analysis needed to make strategic business decisions. The job functions will include financial analysis and information services.

Job Duties:

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of profitability analysis, including but not limited to specific products, delivery channels, and members/households. Assist in the annual budget process including working with leaders of key business units to develop departmental projections based on strategic initiatives, general trends, and economic forecasts. Assist in developing product pricing, including but not limited to making deposit rate and loan rate recommendations in conjunction with market rates and balance sheet metrics. Work directly with various departments and managers to provide research and analysis for various pricing and profitability analysis requests. Aid in preparing and reporting required regulatory documents and analysis as required by NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) regulations, including but not limited to measuring liquidity, interest rate, and credit risks. Supports the annual regulatory examination cycle by assimilating requested reports and analysis. Supports the annual financial statement audit and any periodic internal audits. Perform risk analysis to identify balance sheet strategies that enhance financial performance and maintain regulatory compliance. Assist in compiling and analyzing various presentations for Senior Management, the Asset & Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and the Board of Directors to include Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Balance Sheet modeling, liquidity oversight, variance reporting, ratios, and other analysis. Facilitate meetings with business units to identify data needed to make strategic business decisions. Collaborate with Information Technology to extract raw data from various systems. Analyze raw data to identify trends and insights, resulting in actionable and digestible information to share with Executive and Senior Management to optimize Credit Union performance. Review quarterly ALM reports for reasonableness. Perform special projects or initiatives as assigned. Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA; employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field. Minimum of three years’ relevant work experience in banks, credit unions or related financial services industry preferred but not required. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Strong analytical abilities and financial acumen with the ability to use systematic applications and deductive reasoning to solve problems. Excellent attention to detail, organized with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Superior written and verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present complex data. CFA or CPA candidate in progress a plus.
