Accounting Manager Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Administrative & Accounting Assistant to join our team remotely. This role is ideal for someone located in the Columbia, SC area , who is self-motivated and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in QuickBooks , accounts receivable (AR) , and Salesforce , with excellent communication skills for customer collections and account follow-up .
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Support:
Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances. Make professional collection calls and send follow-up emails as needed. Record customer payments accurately and update AR records in QuickBooks.
Accounting & Administrative Tasks:
Enter and reconcile invoices, payments, and transactions in QuickBooks Online . Assist with financial reporting and monthly close processes. Maintain accurate and organized digital records of financial transactions. Support internal teams with administrative tasks as needed.
CRM & Customer Data Management:
Update and maintain customer records in Salesforce . Ensure customer contact information, billing terms, and account status are up to date.
Customer Communication:
Handle incoming and outgoing calls related to billing, payments, and general inquiries. Provide clear, professional, and courteous support to customers.
Requirements:
Must reside in or near Columbia, SC (position is remote but may require occasional local tasks). Proven experience with QuickBooks Online and basic accounting/bookkeeping. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections procedures . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a remote administrative or accounting support role. Familiarity with small business operations or service-based industries. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
