The Financial Analyst for Student Affairs and Academic Support, reports to the Director of Finance and plays a pivotal role in managing budgetary and accounting processes This position collaborates with departments across the division to align financial practices with institutional goals. Responsibilities include forecasting, monitoring expenditures, preparing reports and financial statements, and reconciling accounts to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations. The analyst’s insights contribute to informed leadership decisions and long-term financial planning.

Primary Duties:

Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with unit contacts and leadership to align with divisional and institutional goals.
Perform variance and trend analyses, offer actionable insights, and assist with both short- and long-term forecasting.
Monitor expenditures, analyze budget-to-actual performance, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
Prepare and manage unit-level financial reports and dashboards to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Submit and manage updates in PeopleSoft, ensuring integrity of the chart of accounts and accurate financial records.
Process general ledger entries and payroll transactions while maintaining compliance and accuracy within grant and operational reporting.
Assist with annual processes including audits, inventory reviews, and Time & Effort reporting.
Support ad hoc financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Student Affairs shared services finance team.
