Accounting Full Job Description General Job Description:

We seek a Mortgage Accounting Analyst to join our Client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily and monthly activities for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, or Private Investor portfolios, reviewing payment processes, entering items into Quickbooks, and reconciliation. This is a 3-4 month contract role that will be onsite 5x a week in Columbia, SC.

Job Requirements:

Manage daily and monthly portfolio activities, including remittances, reporting, and reconciliations for various investor portfolios. Research and resolve servicing department and customer inquiries regarding payment application. Adjusts accounts per investor or servicing department direction. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, identify and resolve variances, and address reconciliation discrepancies. Support internal and external audits, research data issues, and recommend process improvements. Working knowledge Quickbooks and bookkeeping/accounting principles. Bookkeeping/accounts payable experience. 3+ years of mortgage servicing preferred Newbold Advisors, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
