Job Description
Benteler Automotive Corporation seeks a Controlling Specialist for a position in Duncan, SC to examine, analyze and interpret accounting and sales records to prepare specific financial analysis to the plants management team to facilitate decision making, project tracking and analysis for the manufacture of automotive components. Work closely with Sales Engineers and Buyers to ensure alignment in product development and ability to meet customer specifications within cost guidelines. Work with Sales Engineers and buyers to ensure accurate sales pricing in SAP to meet customer specifications while achieving profit goals. Ensure cost data integrity in systems. Create monthly collection estimates. Conduct the month-end accounting closing including journal entry preparation, pre-closing analysis and post-closing reporting requirements. Apply quantitative methods to forecast the financial results of various operational strategies. Develop and implement forecast, tracking, analysis and reporting of tooling, prototype, and capital projects. Coordinate accounting for fixed assets including the preparation of capital requests, asset disposals, periodic inventory of assets and capital approval and spending forecasts. Maintain and support the year-end external audit and periodic internal audits. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations including the tracking and facilitation of customer price changes that relate to supplier price changes. Record and report financial records in accordance with statutory requirements, company policy, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Work with material planners to ensure alignment on expenses and recoveries of any expedite air freight or unplanned road shipment charge trigger. Analyze and post cycle counts performed by the material planners. Work closely with accounts receivables to ensure payment collections on a timely manner. File monthly tax returns. Harmonize the payables and receivables procedures between US and Mexico.
Successful candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or foreign equivalent, and 2 years of experience.
Qualifying experience must be as an as an Accountant, Accounts Receivable Analyst, or substantially similar position performing the following: examine, analyze and interpret accounting and sales records to prepare specific financial analysis to the plants management team to facilitate decision making, project tracking and analysis for the manufacture of automotive components.
