Position Overview:
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with deep knowledge of the multifamily housing industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance, reporting, and accounting operations of a growing portfolio of multifamily properties. This is not a traditional asset management or property management role—our ideal candidate has a strong accounting background with hands-on experience in multifamily real estate, and the ability to lead high-level financial planning and reporting functions. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight Maintain and update property cash flow and rent roll schedules Maintain a comprehensive catalogue of property valuations Track property distributions, ownership splits, and related financial transactions Prepare and deliver bi-annual investor reporting packages Manage and update Global Cash Flow tracking Conduct and compile market surveys to support asset strategy Renovations Oversee purchasing and verify renovation draw processes, including spend tracking and coordination with lenders on future draw projections Track and process reimbursements to operating accounts and owner loans Maintain monthly renovation tracking spreadsheets, including estimated remaining capital expenditures Coordinate with lenders on completed IRR work and required repair documentation Insurance Track insurance claims and correspond with carriers on completed loss reconciliations
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the multifamily housing industry. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Leadership:
Proven track record of leading teams and driving results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Financial Acumen:
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance metrics specific to multifamily real estate.
Strategic Vision:
Ability to think strategically and innovatively while maintaining a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to asset management.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executives, investors, and internal stakeholders. Proficient in
