Job Description This role involves conducting financial and market analysis for Licensing, focusing on pricing components in General Licensing (GL) Licenses to maximize revenue. The position requires reviewing financial data and licensing agreements to identify trends and communicate opportunities for improvement. You will support management in various stages of licensing market review analysis and recommend updates to pricing strategies across multiple markets to ensure competitive and profitable pricing structures. Key responsibilities include recommending pricing strategies, collaborating with various teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives, and developing KPIs to monitor pricing performance. You will also monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights, utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools to identify opportunities and lead pricing research and strategy. Additionally, you will translate raw financial and operational data into meaningful conclusions, assist in preparing strategic plans and financial projections, and lead market and financial research to develop new license structures. Supporting ad hoc analysis requests to aid decisions within Licensing and other departments is also part of the role. Technical responsibilities involve gathering, organizing, automating, and presenting data for various audiences, converting client data from multiple sources into staged formats for financial modeling, and working with the reporting team to utilize online reports and dashboards to display real-time financial models. You will use industry projections and reporting on music use trends to develop recommendations for pricing impacts and alignment with licensing components. An understanding of accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and accrual adjustments, is necessary to review results and project impact. The ability to present complex data to various levels of management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand and interpret legal documents to make recommendations for improvement are also required.
