This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in AP, including supplier invoice processing, expense report review, and various types of payment processing. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with experience in quality reviews, project management, and process improvement initiatives. Workday invoice and/or Facets payments exposure is a plus. Additionally, this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships across various business units to support division and company-wide initiatives. This is an office-based position that will be expected to work regularly onsite in Chattanooga, TN (approximately 3 days per week with ability to work at home up to 2 days per week). This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Job Responsibilities Analyzes accounting processes, recommends changes and initiates process improvement Leads a small team responsible for critical elements of the month- and quarter-end close processes, providing guidance and performance feedback on a routine basis. Prepares, reviews and approves journal entries and account reconciliations Maintains an effective system of internal controls over accounting and financial reporting Job Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or equivalent work experience Experience 6 years – Work experience in an accounting/financial position is required. Weighted equivalent years of relevant work experience – 1 year experience in public accounting = 2 years of applicable work experience SkillsCertifications Proven track record in effectively directing, coordinating and managing employees and workflows Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Proficient oral and written communication skills Effective and concise presentation skills Ability to lead, train, motivate, delegate, follow-up, resolve and overcome obstacles to meet aggressive time tables.
