Our MRI/CT Financial Coordinator performs all duties related to assessing and providing financial verification, consulting with patients on different financial options for advanced imaging procedures. Verifies patient insurance, benefits, co-pays and works up estimates on out-of-pocket costs for MRI and CT procedures. Manages patient insurance verification by utilizing the Experian tool and other insurance websites as needed. Follows processes as set forth by department manager, (ie. Needs Update Report, Task Queue, and RTS) within EHR/EMR system. Communicates with Patients and Front Office Coordinators for proper collection of monies from patient at the time of visit. Ensure that all documentation is scanned, and information entered accurately and swiftly. Calls patient and completes the collection of copayments, pre-payments and patient balances. Other clerical responsibilities as assigned, (ie. scheduling appointments, MRI and provider rechecks).
