Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. Summary The Operations Finance Analyst will provide financial support to the overall business as well as client-specific projects, as assigned. The mission of the position is to accurately report the financial position of each project for project teams, clients and anyone who has a vested interest in the financial management of a project. Responsibilities Responsible for project set-up in an ERP system, monthly financial close, forecasting, risk review, client billing support, and other financial aspects of the project.
Serve as a primary financial contact for internal customers, for assigned client projects, working closely with Accounting and Operations.
Responsible for a range of financial and strategic support to ensure the operational effectiveness of the business.
Use modeling techniques to develop recommendations for project teams and senior management.
Track and analyze project trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the project portfolio’s performance. Interface with senior management responding to requests for financial information.
Prepare reporting and financial analysis for management and issue findings and variances to plan.
Identify and highlight potential issues related to project financial risks that impact company profitability.
Perform project analysis using different sources of information to support the decision-making process.
Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance/Economics or Business Administration preferred.
1-5 years related work experience preferred.
Experience with project costing and budgeting in an ERP application. Proficient in Excel and standard MS Office, required. Point and Visio preferred. A self-starter possessing strong problem-solving skills and an analytical aptitude.
