Summary of Job:
The Financial Analyst at Lee Company plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and driving operational efficiency through strong accounting knowledge and hands-on use of modern business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Prophix. This role requires a high level of accuracy, a focus on compliance with GAAP and internal controls, and a commitment to improving financial processes. Reporting to the Finance Reporting & Analysis Manager, the ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exercise sound independent judgment, and take a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements. In addition to supporting financial operations, the analyst will help maintain and develop reporting and BI tools to enhance reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as is the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience applicable to the duties described above. Experience with Corporate Performance Management financial software preferred, specifically Prophix. Hands-on experience with designing and developing dashboards and reporting using analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc). Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CDS and F&O Platforms).
Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of financial reporting practices and a general knowledge of US GAAP. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex data sets. Hands-on experience developing reporting and Power BI dashboards through understanding data structures and underlying business processes. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly across teams and levels. Proven ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence cross-functional teams. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
