Job Summary:

This role focuses on the execution and maintenance of financial reporting processes as designated by the Financial Controller. You’ll spend significant time working in Excel, updating templates, validating data, and ensuring reports are accurate and properly formatted. The position requires both technical proficiency and business acumen to translate raw data into meaningful financial insights. This position offers exposure to various aspects of financial operations, from customer profitability analysis to forecasting and month-end close processes. You’ll develop deep expertise in financial modeling and gain valuable experience working with cross-functional teams to drive business performance. This role is foundational to driving profit improvement across the business. The candidate is focused on operational ROI – using financial modeling and insights to pinpoint areas of waste, margin opportunity, and performance acceleration. This tactical role bridges finance and operations, helping transform raw data into cross-functional actions that impact the bottom line.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis Lead and deliver monthly Customer P&Ls and profitability insights Own the full VSC Financial Review deck with KPIs, analytics, and presentation Produce Weekly and Month-End Sales Flash reporting and identify actionable trends Execute recurring reporting and forecast file updates, including monthly financial reviews and customer P&Ls Identify financial drivers behind financial statement variances and deliver practical, action-oriented insights that directly support profitability efforts Forecasting & Planning Manage all short- and long-term forecasting projects Maintain rolling forecasts by collecting data, updating formulas in existing Excel templates, and assembling clean outputs Translate operations and sales drivers into financial strategy Month-End Close & Accounting Complete half of month-end close process, requiring strong conceptual accounting understanding Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data compilation Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Sales, Operations, and Johnsonville teams to drive tactical financial improvement Collaborate across departments to gather data and provide financial insights

Qualifications:

Technical Skills Strong Excel proficiency required for hands-on work across multiple tabs and data sources Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling Experience with data input, updates, and formatting in complex spreadsheets Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related role Previous experience with P&L analysis and financial reporting preferred
