Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting function, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness across all financial processes. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the accounting department Monitor and analyze accounting data; produce financial statements and reports Enforce proper accounting policies, methods, and principles Oversee and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and general ledger Handle payroll processing and benefit administration in coordination with a third-party provider Coordinate and complete annual audits Maintain and reconcile fixed asset activity, leases, loans, and lines of credit Prepare monthly and year-end closing procedures Perform variance analysis of revenues and expenditures Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and treasury planning Provide leadership, supervision, and clear communication within the accounting team Recommend and implement process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting and 6+ years of experience Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Supervisor, or Finance Manager Advanced computer skills—particularly in MS Office; must be tech-savvy Deep knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and team leadership skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
