Job Description:
- At Regions, the Mortgage Quality Assurance Function Manager leads a team of analysts that are responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring and mitigating Mortgage operational risk via data analytics.
This role manages associates that analyze Mortgage Retail and Home Loan Direct (HLD) Loan Officer processes and make recommendations to maximize operational efficiency and quality, and ensure adherence to compliance standards, in partnership with various geography and support unit peers.
- Primary Responsibilities
- + Responsible for the performance and results of a team of professional employees + Provides technical guidance to team members and business groups + Oversees the implementation of operational risk management policies and frameworks to include first line Quality Assurance activities + Identifies and monitors risks that are emerging for the business, and then escalates as necessary + Provides continual feedback to leadership regarding existing or emerging issues and process enhancement opportunities + Evaluates alternative means of reducing Mortgage Retail and Home Loan Direct (HLD) Loan Officer exposure to operational risks, based on trends identified by the unit, and makes recommendations to appropriate partners + Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges + Seeks opportunities to automate processes + Influences process and policy changes to maximize operational efficiency and quality and ensures adherence to compliance standards + Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staffing, performance reviews, promotions, and terminations This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

- Requirements
- + Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven (7) years of mortgage or related experience + Or a High School Diploma or GED and eleven (11) years of mortgage or related experience + Five (5) years of experience in managing a team
