Accounting Manager 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars Montgomery, AL 36106 Warren Averett Recruiting is proud to partner with a well-established client in the Montgomery area in their search for an experienced Accounting Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the full scope of the agency’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to oversee daily financial functions while supporting strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department Keep management informed of accounting activities and updates Monitor aged receivables reports and account current/carrier statements (agency and direct bill) Collaborate with the agency’s CPA to prepare taxes and payroll tax filings Reconcile bank statements and account current Process payroll, including producer commissions Complete month-end and year-end close processes Handle customer payments and perform daily bank deposits Post and issue checks, life premiums, and commissions Manage accounts payable and generate financial reports Maintain the accounting system and coordinate with IT support as needed Perform other duties as necessary to support the finance function Warren Averett is an equal opportunity employer.
