Financial Accounting Systems Transformation (FAST) ProgramManager Lead, Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO)Full-Time New York, NY, Boston, MA or Springfield, MA TheOpportunity The Corporate Function Program Management Office(CFPMO) is seeking an experienced program manager to support thestand-up of the new organization. In this highly visible role asthe Program Manager Lead for the Financial Accounting SystemsTransformation (FAST) program, you will be responsible for leadingone of the largest and transformative programs at MassMutual. TheFAST Program is on a multi-year plan to replace our existing SAP R3platform with the

SAP S/4HANA

platform that will provide a modernevent based financial system solution for Corporate Finance,enabling a more streamlined financial reporting process thatleverages enhanced reporting and data analytics functionality. TheFAST Program Manager Lead will be responsible for the planning,day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting oflarge and complex programs. The incumbent will be accountable tomanage and monitor project tasks and controls during projectplanning and delivery activities to ensure on-time and qualitygoals are met within scope and budget. Apply advanced project andprogram management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques toproject deliverables, processes, communications and presentationsin order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. TheTeam The CFPMO was established to oversee the execution ofinitiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, InvestmentManagement, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as defineand own project management standards across the company. The teamis focused on driving and aligning the execution of criticalprograms and projects across our Corporate Functions, creating morevisibility into this work, while enabling improved prioritization,collaboration, and execution.

The Impact:

As the FAST ProgramManager Lead, you will:

  • Develop and implement strategy for theprogram team.
  • Lead creation of the program management plan
  • Oversee all activities associated with the program to ensure theprogram achieves its goals
  • Identify and understand programobjectives
  • Manage timelines and deliverables
  • Identify andassign program team members
  • Identify projects needed to achieveprogram objectives
  • Coordinate interdependent projects that arepart of the program
  • Communicate with project managers
  • Monitorprogram activities
  • Measure and monitor key performance indicators(KPIs) and return on investment (ROI)
  • Resolve problems and delaysin the program
  • Manage program budget
  • Manage resources acrossall projects within the program
  • Help to ensure collaborationamong project teams
  • Manage program risk and coordinate correctivemeasures
  • Document the program
  • Identify and manage programadherence to standards and governance
  • Manage stakeholdercommunications
  • Report on program performance to executive teamand organization leaders
  • Ensure that the program is aligned withorganizational business goals and objectives
  • Identifies requiredhuman resources to successfully executive to plan and submits toProgram Lead; provides cost estimates
  • Interviews candidates andonboards as appropriate
  • Maintains change request (change toexisting requirements
  • Collates decision that require businessline discussion and decision and escalates to Program lead fordiscussion at Steering committees
  • Leads regular cross workstreamscrums to ensure alignment on deliverables and dependencies remainin sync
  • Identifies conflict in deliverables and delays; make bestefforts to resolve issues and escalates to Program Lead if unableto achieve for resolution
  • Maintain a matrix reportingrelationship with the business sponsor of the program/project andthe program manager
  • Identify and drive key stakeholderinvolvement and work with them to elicit scope
  • Secure andmaintain project resources from a business and technical scope
  • Identify, document, assign, track and facilitate project issuesthrough to resolution
  • Confirm achievement of objectives, verifyand document project results to formalize acceptance of the productat each phase gate of the project by the
  • Facilitate lessonslearned and retain information in a central location for future useThe Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or CFAdesignation
  • 10 years of experience managing large-scale programsand effective change management
  • Proficient experience withProject Management tools including but not limited to: AtlassianJira, Zephyr for Jira, Smartsheets as well as MS Office Suite(Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Certified in ScrumAlliance (CSM/CSPO), Scrum.org (PSM/PSPO/PSD), SAFe Scaled Agilist,PMI-ACP, PMP is desired, but not required
  • 7 years managingpeople/teams
  • Executive presence with ability to quickly buildrapport and cultivate relationships; high-level of emotionalintelligence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;track record of developing and delivering high
  • impactpresentations; effective public speaking
  • Astute businessjudgment, analytic, creative, and problem-solving skill, withexperience applying these skills to acquire and develop strategicpartnerships
  • Strategically minded, analytical change agent anddecision maker with a clear vision and the ability to implementimprovement measures impacting a variety of internal and externalstakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills anddata-driven mindset that translates into leadership skills
  • Travelbetween New York, Springfield and Boston required The IdealQualifications
  • Experience in S/4 Hana
  • Knowledge of bestpractices in GL Accounting, and experience in Accelerated FiscalClosing, Treasury, Group Reporting, Accounts Payable, TaxCompliance and Reporting
  • Knowledge of statutory, fiscal and legalrequirements
  • 3-4 years end-to-end Finance transformationexperience, with either Oracle, SAP or S4-Hana What to Expect asPart of MassMutual and the Team
