Our Construction client is seeking an experienced anddetail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accountingoperations and support financial decision-making within ourcompany. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding ofconstruction accounting principles, project-based financialreporting, and strong leadership skills to manage a smallaccounting team. Reporting to the CFO, this is a key role thatcollaborates with project managers, estimators, and seniorleadership on financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage allgeneral accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, and payroll.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, preparefinancial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and companyaccounting policies. Manage contract billing, change orders, andretention tracking. Coordinate with external auditors for annualaudits and tax filings. Monitor cash flow and provide forecastingsupport. Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Implement andmaintain internal controls and accounting procedures. Assist inbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Review and analyzejob cost and billing data to confirm accuracy and process billingfor projects. Prepare WIP reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’sDegree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration. 7-10years’ relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in amanagement or supervisory role. Prior experience in constructionaccounting is required. Advanced software capabilities and skillsincluding Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Adobe Acrobatas well as the ability to use accounting-specific andindustry-specific software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Procore, orsimilar). Strong understanding of job costing, billing cycles, andWIP reporting. Excellent organizational, analytical, andcommunication skills. Ability to work independently and managemultiple priorities.
