Full Job Description Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred, but not required. Demonstrated success in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams. Strong business partnering skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive results. Experience implementing and optimizing financial systems (e.g., OneStream, MicroStrategy/Strategy, or similar platforms). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High degree of integrity, professionalism, and executive presence.

Position Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in Gemaire’s finance leadership team, responsible for building and leading the FP&A function. This leader will own all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, oversee incentive compensation analysis and administration, and serve as a strategic business partner to cross-functional leaders. The Director will also drive improvements in financial systems and reporting, and play a key role in developing the FP&A team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, develop, and grow the FP&A team, including direct management of FP&A staff and the Compensation Manager (with a dotted line to HR). Own and continuously improve all budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with Gemaire’s objectives. Oversee the analysis, modeling, and administration of incentive compensation plans in partnership with HR, ensuring alignment with business goals and performance metrics. Serve as a business partner to Sales, Operations, HR, and IT, providing actionable financial analysis, business case support, and decision-making guidance. Drive the adoption and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools, including OneStream (financial reporting) and MicroStrategy/Strategy (data analytics). Take ownership of the analysis and reporting for Enable vendor rebate software, establishing clear processes and driving actionable insights. Support the integration of acquired businesses into FP&A processes and systems as needed (infrequent, but may be required). Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for FP&A operations. Prepare and present financial analysis and reports to the CFO, the executive team at Gemaire, and, as needed, to the leadership team of our public parent company. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and business partnership across the organization.
