Job Description
Accounting Manager Boca Royale Golf and Country Club Englewood, FL 34223 Company Overview We are a premier Golf and Country Club committed to providing exceptional service and experiences to our members and guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting operations of the club, manage multiple responsibilities with precision, and deliver excellent internal and external customer service. Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Club’s financial and accounting operations. This includes day-to-day accounting, budgeting, audits, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy at all times. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a passion for excellence, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting functions and administrative processes Manage accounts receivable/payable, cash controls, and revenue/expense tracking Coordinate audits, taxes, and related accounting activities Reconcile monthly ledgers and maintain fixed asset ledgers Monitor budgets and actuals for major capital expenditures Manage member billings, collections, and club banking activities Perform daily revenue audits and maintain inventory and purchase order systems Direct monthly and annual physical inventories Assist in preparing annual operating budgets Handle tax filings and payments Manage insurance renewals and claims Supervise payroll processing Maintain accounting controls, procedures, and chart of accounts Interact with members and vendors regarding financial matters Ensure confidentiality of all company information Complete other related projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional degree required Proven experience managing accounting operations; experience in hospitality or Golf/Country Club environment preferred Proficiency with Jonas Club Management Software or similar systems a plus Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial data analysis Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Customer service-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and excellence
Physical Requirements:
Primarily a sedentary office role involving computer use, typing, and telephone communication Requires occasional walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs
