Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a strategic partner to the CFO. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, and performance management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, GAAP principles, system implementations, and financial transformation. You’ll play a key role in enabling informed decision-making and aligning financial strategies with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of financial models including dynamic, driver-based forecasting, capital planning, and long-range strategic planning. Oversee cash flow modeling and performance management reporting. Support forecast stabilization and ensure 3-statement visibility. Optimize financial planning processes and establish scalable budgeting infrastructure (budget launch in July). Manage and refine the CAPEX planning process. Prepare for a broader finance transformation effort. Generate both ad-hoc and standard management reports for executive leadership. Provide coaching and direction to BU Finance Leaders across a multi-entity organization. Supervise and guide 2 team members and assist in hiring for 2 additional roles.
Requirements:
Experience:
10+ years in financial management, with demonstrated leadership in FP&A.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Systems Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of GAAP. Hands-on experience with planning/forecasting tools such as Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Insights, or Planful. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Power BI, SharePoint. Experience with AI/ML tools in forecasting is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
Proactive self-starter with excellent project management and collaboration abilities. Capable of guiding cross-functional teams and balancing leadership with coaching. Strong written and verbal communication skills. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional looking to make a significant impact in a short time frame, with potential to transition into a permanent leadership opportunity.
