Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager?to join their finance team.?The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. This role will work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to support the company’s financial goals and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently oversee month-end & year-end close, financial analysis, business reviews, and other financial duties, ensuring alignment with standardized processes and procedures Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Maximize billing, drive collections, and forecast future cash opportunities to enhance branch cash performance. Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Coordinate with external auditors and furnish requisite information for the annual audit. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks. Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business. Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders. Communicate financial data and assist management personnel in comprehending the financial standing and reporting information.
Qualifications:
CPA certification is? required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field? required . MBA or equivalent highly preferred. Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years of supervisory experience? required . Additional certifications, or ambition to obtain certifications, (such
CMA, CFE, CIA
) and public accounting experience (Big 4) is preferred. Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance preferred. Experience with companies undergoing initial public offerings (IPOs) and expansion to multiple locations would be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of US GAAP Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite, Great Plains, Oracle or SAP is a plus.
