Position Summary
The Medical RCM Manager oversees all aspects of revenue cycle operations-from patient registration and insurance verification to claims management and payment collection. This role is instrumental in developing strategies to optimize revenue, reduce claim denials, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate brings healthcare financial expertise, technical proficiency with medical billing systems, and leadership skills to drive excellence in an evolving ecommerce environment.

  • Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive revenue cycle strategies
  • Oversee billing processes for accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Establish KPIs and provide regular performance analysis
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate financial processes
  • Transition traditional RCM to an ecommerce platform
  • Manage multiple departments including Verifications, Eligibility, Claims, Prior Authorizations, Workers Comp, Denials, Appeals, Remittances, etc. Claims and Denial Management
  • Ensure accurate claims submission and tracking
  • Develop strategies to reduce denials and enhance claim acceptance
  • Manage denial processes, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Follow up promptly on unpaid or partially paid claims
  • Enhance and manage the appeal process
  • Work with payers on reimbursement issues
  • Implement automated claim validation systems Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
  • Monitor changes in billing regulations and maintain up-to-date compliance policies
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Document billing activities for audit readiness
  • Oversee implementation of OIG compliance programs Team Leadership and Development
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the revenue cycle team

    Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 7-10 years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with medical software and healthcare IT systems
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CRCR, CHFP, CPAR) Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle and financial software
  • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and payer reimbursement models
  • Experience with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Familiarity with ecommerce payment systems
