PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is a highly skilled individual responsible for overseeing the billing and revenue cycle operations of the organization while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations. The Revenue Cycle Supervisor will minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and effectively manage accounts receivables.

SCOPE OF WORK

Oversee and manage entire revenue cycle, including account management, communication with insurance providers, billing, coding, revenue posting, collections, and contract analysis. Manage relationships with external vendors for practice management software. Provide education for clinical, billing, and coding staff on coding trends and changes in procedure. Generate and analyze monthly financial reports related to revenue, collections, accounts receivables, denials, coding error rates, billing turnaround time, and other key performance indicators for executives. team. Monitor claim denials, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize rejections. Provide regular updates to Executive Management on the financial health of the organization. Participate in the development of coding and billing strategies, evaluating processes relative to revenue cycle, and making recommendations while ensuring compliance with any relevant rules or regulations (including HIPAA, Medicare, and specific third-party payors). Lead monthly billing meetings with cross section of company in order to identify barriers to billing and collections as well as improve the collection process. Negotiate rates with Medicaid Managed Care companies, Medicare Managed Care companies, and 3rd Party Commercial insurance on an annually basis and as services are identified. Identify missing services in contracts and practice management software that should be billed and initiate corrective action. Create and implement policies that ensure the accuracy of patient billing information. Supervise the Billing Specialist including interviews, teammate feedback, daily expectations, training, performance reviews, and terminations. Stay current on healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and industry best practices. Review and recommend actions on financial hardship applications. Address and manage patient complaints in respect to billing and collections. Keep informed of the changes by insurance companies, educate team on the changes, and collaborate on modifying workflows and system (EHR) setup to meet the changing billing/documentation standards.
