Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate reporting for a long-term contract position. In this role, you will lead various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial audits. Based in Ocala, Florida, this opportunity is ideal for someone with expertise in accounting systems and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems such as BlackLine and Concur.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct financial audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline billing and payment functions.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage and analyze financial data effectively.
- Monitor and manage payroll operations using tools like ADP.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team to achieve department goals. Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including BlackLine and Concur.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial management practices.
- Expertise in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll processes.
- Solid understanding of auditing principles and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
