Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing construction company based in Miami, FL , specializing in large-scale infrastructure and civil projects . The organization is known for its long-standing presence in the region and commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in the field. We’re seeking an experienced Construction Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of multiple ongoing and upcoming construction projects. This is a pivotal role that will work directly with project managers, estimators, and senior leadership to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency across the board.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including job costing, project billing, payroll, and general ledger oversight Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and job cost reports Monitor project budgets, forecast cash flow, and flag cost overruns or financial discrepancies Oversee AIA billing, subcontractor compliance, and lien waivers Lead month-end and year-end closings Collaborate closely with operations to support project performance and profitability Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed Supervise a small accounting team and help implement process improvements and accounting best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA is a plus) +5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry , preferably in heavy civil or roadway projects Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, AIA billing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Proficient in construction accounting softwares Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
