Essential Functions:
Oversee the timely and accurate posting of complex and adjusting journal entries for 27 ships across multiple cost centers and accounts. Lead the progress in streamlining the month-end close process through process enhancements and automation. Review and approve state sales and use tax returns, month-end balance sheet reconciliations, Sail and Sign Reconciliations, payments to vendors and other internal reporting deliverables to the business. Ensure that entries and related processes are in compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide insight, analysis, and reporting including key performance indicators to identify underlying opportunities and risks and drive continuous business improvement. Assist with the monthly financial close and reporting cycle by providing variance analyses, reconciliations and supporting details. Partner with various departments and maintain an effective operating process that ensures compliance with government regulations, audit requirements and other critical requests deemed appropriate for the department.
