Job Description

Bookeeper and Inventory Management

MARKOWICZ FINE ART

Miami, FL 33137 • Hybrid work We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in bookkeeping (minimum 5 years of experience), who is also capable of overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records of artworks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks , and experience with a CRM system (such as Artlogic) is a strong plus. Experience in the art gallery industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financials:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Record and reconcile all financial transactions (sales, invoices, payments, expenses) Assist with accounts payable and receivable Support preparation of financial reports for internal review and accounting purposes Help coordinate with external accountants and vendors as needed

Inventory Management:

Maintain and update artwork inventory across digital systems Track locations, consignment status, pricing, and shipping of artworks Generate inventory reports, availability lists, and consignment forms Ensure consistency of artwork information across platforms and galleries

Additional Tasks:

Collaborate with sales and gallery teams to ensure smooth operational flow Provide administrative support when needed (invoicing, reports, shipping documents) Work with CRM software (experience with Artlogic is a major plus)

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience Proficient in QuickBooks Experience with inventory or database management Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Familiarity with the art world is a plus Experience with CRM systems (Artlogic or others) is highly desirable

Work Environment:

Hybrid position : remote work possible, but minimum 2 days/week onsite in our Miami gallery is required Flexible schedule can be discussed based on profile and availability
