Job Description

Revenue Cycle Supervisor 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Kissimmee, FL 34758 OCHS operates multiple Community Health Centers throughout Osceola County that are accredited by The Joint Commission for Ambulatory Care and Primary Care Medical Home. This position is responsible for providing guidance to billing team to ensure timely processing on claims, rebilling, denials, processing payments, adjustments and charges, follow-up on insurance billings, delinquent account follow-up, refunds, and computer operations. Is an active participant in organizational performance improvement with direct responsibility for assuring optimal performance during all stages of the revenue cycle. Delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties. Functions under the direction and supervision of the Chief Financial Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage fee schedule to ensure billing codes and fees are up to date Direct and oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the revenue cycle activities to optimize billing and collections. Review, design, and implement processes and procedures surrounding pricing, billing, third-party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that the clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Track numerous metrics related to the revenue cycle including record coding error rates, claim rejections and denials, AR aging, and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manage relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Supply billing-related detail in support of the annual budgeting process Understand and manage the sliding fee program Oversee Patient Accounts operations, working within established guidelines to maintain a predictable cash flow Responsible for Quality Assurance audits as it relates to the Revenue Cycle Program and the timely reporting of data to the Clinical Performance Improvement Committee. Ensures patient statements are being sent in both Dentrix and Athena in a timely manner. Evaluate patients’ financial status and establish budget payment plans. Follows and reports the delinquent accounts to collections Processes patient and insurance refund requests. Facilitates organizational compliance with federal and state laws, HRSA, and other such regulatory agencies for duties that fall under Revenue Cycle Program. Develops and makes recommendations for improvements to business processes, policies, and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency for Revenue Cycle Program. Reports program data to the Executive Management Team on an ongoing basis. Collaborates with the Executive Management Team, Clinical Directors, Program Coordinators, and Site Managers to identify /resolve program-related problems and to achieve synergy in functions, and eliminate inefficiencies in health center operations. Maintains a working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPPA, Corporate Compliance, and other such healthcare regulations as it relates to the Revenue Cycle Program. Oversight of the Credentialing process. Performs other duties as assigned. OCHS is an equal opportunity employer.
